Forms for written communication are texting, email, and websites like myspace or facebook. I text all the time. Texting is an efficeint and direct way to get a message from one person to another. Sometimes it's more convienent to get on the computer or your phone to talk to someone rather than taking the time to call or go see them. The only problem is words can often me misinterpreted when they aren't being said. No one can tell your mood through a written message. You might say something in a sarcastic way and the other person takes it offensively. I think the best way to fix this is to not try and talk about serious or important matters through a written message. You never know how the other person is gonna take it. Verbal communication can be talking on the phone, in person, or even through a video. The problem with talking on the phone is people can't see you and your body language can say alot. When talking to someone verbally without being in front of them, it is best to explain yourself in detail. Also, many people speak differently. Alot of different cultures have different slang. When speaking to an important person you should try your best to speak approprietly. Non verbal communication involves your body language, your eye contact and your appearance. Body language can say alot. It says more then when you verbally speak. You should stand up straight when talking to someone and give off a positive vibe. You should also always keep eye contact, or people will take it that your bored or uninterested. Your appearence means alot too. No one is going to take you seriously or even hear what you wanna say if you're dressed sloppily.
I think I have fairly good communication skills. I could work on the body language department. If I'm not feeling good, I may not talk like it or speak in a negative way, but you can tell by my body language I'm not ok. I do communicate differently with different groups of people. I'm more relaxed when I'm around my friends and tend to use slang. When I'm around my mother I don't use as much slang, and if I'm with someone important I communicate very professionally.

Attitude. Week 1
My attitude had changed a lot int he past years. I have a very good attitude lately. I do everything for a reason, because without a reason, there is no point. I don't get upset over things I can't change. If nothing can be done about it, then why stress about it, and if something can be done about it, then do it. I react positively in situations in my life, I get what needs to be done, regardless what happens.
For the most part I have a good attitude towards my work. I haven't started my learning service yet, but when it comes to school work I have a great attitude. I set a goal and it keeps me focused. I know the outcome of my consequences so i go for it. I could improve a little when it comes to bad news. If people are discouraging me or telling me I can't get something done in time, then I tend to get frustrated and almost want to give up. But I relax and think about what motivates me and get my head back into the game.
I'm a big observer. I watch everyone's actions. I see a lot of people get upset or worry about things that aren't that serious. Or people get upset about things in their life that they can change. When instead they should just change it. This makes me realize and appreciate the mindset I have. I also watch those who have great attitudes. Who don't let anything get in the way of their goals and where they want to go in life. I admire people like this.
